“The Keeping of Bees” is a short informative dance film that brings light to one of the many effects human behavior and climate change has had on a very important species; bees. Bees are responsible for pollinating a very large portion of our vegetation and food. It is estimated 1/3 of every bite of food is a product of bee pollination. ‘Acquainted with the Butterflies’ is a dance film featuring the campers of the Bethel Area Arts and Music Summer Art Camp. A collaboration between cinematographer Christina Belinsky and the campers, the film was captured at the Annual Monarch Festival at Valentine Farm and the Museums of the Bethel Historical Society. This film was commissioned in part by the Maine Arts Commission.
